Ponderosa tremuloides

Campus of Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, 2009

Materials: Ponderosa pine timber with Pinyon pine pitch, steel, brass tags with hooks and swivels

This sculpture gives symbolic form to three of the most prevalent species of trees in Northern Arizona. The eight foot timber is Ponderosa Pine. The brass tags are the leaves of Quaking Aspen. And the line of sap bisecting the timber is from Pinyon Pine.
