This place-specific installation explored the effects
of technology on small agrarian communities. Modern agri-business
is destroying these local economies and ecosystems, just as
nineteenth century Manifest Destiny disintegrated native cultures. By
juxtaposing Old and New World cultures (symbolized by over
250 broccoli stalks, one ton of cornmeal and a coyote skeleton),
I explored these conflicts.
